It features our standard **narrow 9/16-inch wide base** but extends straight forward (centered, no offset). Crucially, your trim must be wide enough (~2.4") to support the full width of the doorbell itself for this centered mount. Avoids drilling into masonry.
How it Works: Centered Extension for "Face Flush"
This mount provides a STRAIGHT, CENTERED extension (no sideways offset). It's designed to bring the doorbell mounting point forward from recessed trim.
The goal with the recommended measurement (see guide below) is to have the **FRONT FACE of your Ring Gen 2 Doorbell** sit approximately **FLUSH** with the outer surface of your brickwork. This requires accurate measurement and sufficient trim width.
If your trim is narrower than your doorbell (~2.4"), consider our "Offset Brick Extension" listings instead.
Base Dimensions & Mounting: This extension base is 9/16 inches wide. Standard mounting hole spacing is 2.5 inches (center-to-center). Ensure solid mounting surface at least ~2.4 inches wide. Wall-mounting screws not included.

Choosing the correct extension length is essential to position the front face of your doorbell approximately flush with your brick face. Measure carefully:

Method 1 (Most Accurate - If you HAVE doorbell):
- Temporarily hold your Ring Gen 2 so its FRONT FACE level/flush with the outer face of the brick.
- Measure the distance straight back from the surface where the mount base will attach (your trim) to the flat mounting surface on the BACK of your doorbell.
- Order THIS measurement as your required Extension Length.

Method 2 (Estimate - If NO doorbell):
- Measure distance straight out from trim surface to outer brick face.
- Subtract approx. **1 inch** (estimated doorbell thickness). Order this calculated length.
(Example: Trim-to-Brick = 3 inches. Subtract 1 inch. Order 2 inch Extension Length. Note: Our bracket takes ~1/2" internal space, so this method targets the back of the doorbell near the brick face, usually resulting in the front face being close to flush).

How to Install Your Centered Face Flush Extension
This mount uses two main printed pieces: the Extension Base and the Doorbell Adapter Bracket.

Tools & Prep: Gather: Drill, PH1 & PH2 Philips Bits, Level, Anchors (if needed), your Ring Gen 2 doorbell & its specific bracket/hardware.
Turn OFF power at the breaker if hardwiring!

Mount Extension Base: Position the Extension Base (correct length, 9/16" wide) centered on your trim (ensure trim is >= ~2.4" wide) over wires. Attach securely using appropriate screws (#6 size likely, use PH2) and anchors into the 2.5" spaced holes.
Ensure base is level. Do not overtighten.

Attach Doorbell Adapter Bracket: Route wires through the Doorbell Adapter Bracket (top piece for Gen 2). Align onto Extension Base. Attach using the four small center screws provided (likely #4 screws / PH1 driver).
Tighten screws snugly until bracket is flush. Clear plastic debris if needed.

Attach Ring Gen 2 Bracket: Secure the **plastic bracket that came WITH your Ring Doorbell** onto the Doorbell Adapter Bracket using the small screws PROVIDED WITH THIS MOUNT (typically #4 / PH1). Ensure correct orientation.
Do NOT use Ring's long wall screws here. Use correct PH1 driver.
- Wire & Mount Ring Gen 2: Connect wires (if applicable) to the Ring bracket following Ring's instructions. Clip/Secure your Ring Gen 2 Doorbell onto its bracket. Secure with Ring's security screw(s).
- Final Check & Power On: Ensure doorbell is secure. Turn power back on (if applicable) and test.
Follow safety rules & Ring guidelines. Use appropriate anchors/screws. Ensure trim width is sufficient for this centered mount.
