Add-On Offset Baseplate for Adjustable Swivel Mounts
This is an **ADD-ON** adapter baseplate designed to work with our standard Adjustable Swivel Mounts.
Purpose: Enables mounting a Swivel Mount base onto very **narrow surfaces (at least 3/4" wide)** by utilizing **offset screw holes**. This allows the baseplate and swivel mount to overhang the edge while still securing firmly.
It also provides significant **sideways offset** for the doorbell, similar to our "Full Offset" designs.
Adjustable Swivel Mount is NOT included - Purchase this adapter only if you have or are buying a compatible Swivel Mount separately and need this specific narrow/offset mounting solution.

Dealing with exceptionally narrow door trim (as little as 3/4 inch wide) where even our standard narrow baseplates won't allow secure center screwing? Need significant sideways offset for your doorbell? This specialized adapter baseplate uses cleverly positioned screw holes to solve the problem!
The wall-mounting screw holes are offset 1/2 inch from the plate's edge. This allows you to position the plate overhanging your narrow trim while driving the screws securely into the solid structure behind or beside the trim. It creates a stable platform for your Swivel Mount and pushes the doorbell significantly off-center.
Adapter Plate Specifications
- Required Mounting Surface Width: Minimum 3/4 inch flat area.
- Wall Screw Hole Position: Offset 1/2 inch **inward** from one edge of the adapter plate (allows plate to overhang narrow surface).
- Swivel Base Mounting Holes: Standard **2-5/8 inches** center-to-center (accepts our standard Swivel Mount base).
- Resulting Doorbell Offset: Provides significant sideways offset (direction depends on installation orientation).
- Overall Plate Size: (Approx. X" H x Y" W - designed to support swivel base).

How to Install (Offset Adapter + Swivel Mount)
This adapter fits between your wall/trim and the Swivel Mount base, using offset screw holes.

Tools & Prep: Gather Swivel Mount parts, this Offset Baseplate adapter, drill, PH1 & PH2 drivers/bits, level, appropriate screws & anchors for your wall structure (Wall screws/anchors NOT included).
Turn OFF power to doorbell wiring at the breaker!

Position Offset Baseplate: Place the **Offset Baseplate** on your narrow trim (>= 3/4"). Orient it so the main body overhangs as needed, BUT ensure the **offset screw holes (1/2" from edge)** are positioned over a solid structural area (stud, solid wood behind trim, etc.) where screws can securely anchor. Mark hole locations.
Verify solid backing for offset screws! Plate stability depends on secure fastening here. Ensure plate is level.

Secure Baseplate to Wall Structure: Pre-drill pilot holes if needed. Secure the Offset Baseplate firmly to the solid wall structure using YOUR appropriate screws/anchors through the offset holes.
Use robust fasteners suitable for the load and wall material. Do not overtighten into the plate itself.

Mount Swivel Base to Adapter: Route wires through the standard **Swivel Mount Base** piece. Align it onto the now-mounted Offset Baseplate using the **2-5/8" spaced holes**. Attach the swivel base firmly to the adapter plate using the small screws **provided with THIS adapter** (likely #4 / PH1 driver).
Do not overtighten screws into the adapter plate's threaded inserts.
- Continue Swivel Mount Install: Proceed with the standard installation steps for your swivel mount (attach swivel bracket to base, set angle, wire doorbell, attach doorbell, finalize angle) as detailed in the main swivel mount instructions.
Follow safety rules & wiring guidelines. Selecting appropriate wall screws/anchors for the offset holes is crucial. Verify solid structure behind screw locations.
